From Carnegie Hall to Communities Around the World

On April 13, 2026, founder Kimball Gallagher returned to Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall eleven years after the concert that marked the transition from the 88 Concert Tour to 88 International. The program connected classical works, new music, and films with relationships built across the network.

The season also brought 88 International alumni from every chapter together for the network's first international Training of Trainers. Alumni who trained together are now supporting students and fellow leaders across programs.

In Tunisia, Morocco, Senegal, and The Gambia, alumni stepped forward as trainers, coordinators, mentors, and program leaders. Students continued creating original songs about subjects including migration, identity, and hope.

In Myanmar, the Myanmar Music Festival celebrated its tenth season with a concert in Yangon, bringing together Burmese and international musicians and collaborators.

Across these programs, the same pattern is becoming clearer: students become alumni, alumni create opportunities for the next cohort, and locally rooted programs learn from one another across borders.
